New aupair, new rooster, new routine

Most times I am pretty wigged out about getting a new employee. This time it is different. Still feeling the affects of jet lag, thus I have no energy to waste on silly mind games. Such as, will she be kind to 3yr old, will she listen to instruction from me or just simply ignore me and do her own thing like re-arranging my closets. This gal seems different, she has called and made an appointment to meet us, and has already done a test run to get to our house and to survey the lay of the land. Wow! So to say the least that I am really looking forward to seeing her would be an understatement.

That is not the only thing that is changing, the rooster for my chemo. Doc told me yesterday that she is going to shift me to Monday’s instead of Wednesdays. This means I will get next chemo in 5 days instead of 7. Yikes! That is pretty scary. But the silver lining is that the whole summer I get to only come back to A’dam for 1 day and go right back down to the beach house potentially the same day. In June My 3yrold does not have school, and I am very happy to spend my entire summer on the beach. “wasting away again in margaritaville”

The new routine is not in place yet, because I have to get use to the idea of changing sheets on Tuesday, taking a bath on Sunday night because we will have an early Monday morning with a 2 hour trip in the car before chemo. Stress of traffic has to be added into the formula. As a result we have postponed a trip this weekend, just to adjust to the new routine. This weekend there are obligations for Loveofmylife’s work.  So the new aupair gets her first taste of domestic work in two days. Even though her contract does not officially start until the 20Th of May.
